Job summary

Qualifications

• Perform gross examination, description, dissection, and sampling of a broad spectrum of surgical pathology specimens.
• Evaluate and prepare tissue for intraoperative consultation and frozen section.
• Photograph and document gross specimens with accurate orientation, sampling and submission.
• Serve as a resource for difficult specimens and maintain high-quality grossing practices.
• Teach and mentor pathology residents and learners; pursue an academic title through Albany Med's Promotions Committee.
