The Department of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA is seeking an Academic clinician-scientist focused on molecular microbiology for an Assistant Professor role. Qualifications

• MD or MD/PhD with training in molecular pathology.
• Board certified or board eligible by the American Board of Pathology and board eligible/certified in Molecular Pathology.
• Eligibility for California medical license is required.
• Proven track record of research with publications and extramural funding.
• Preference for candidates with current extramural funding or NIH K award plans.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead a research program in molecular microbiology with active external funding.
• Provide clinical service in molecular pathology and clinical microbiology, including sign-out and related activities.
• Contribute to teaching and education within the department and to scholarly activities.
• Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration within UCLA and external partners.
