Job summary

Mayo Clinic seeks a board-certified or board-eligible Hospice and Palliative Care physician to join a robust practice serving patients with serious illness across inpatient, outpatient, and regional hospice settings.

The role sits within the Department of Medicine, Division of Community Internal Medicine, Geriatrics and Palliative Care, offering extensive interprofessional collaboration and opportunities for teaching, research, and leadership.

Qualifications

• Must be MD, DO, or equivalent.
• Must be board certified or board eligible in Hospice/Palliative Care.
• Preference given to candidates who have completed a Hospice and Palliative Medicine Fellowship.
• Must be able to obtain an unrestricted MN medical license.

Responsibilities

• Provide hospice and palliative care across inpatient, outpatient, and regional Hospice practice.
• Collaborate with interprofessional teams including NP/PAs, RNs, social workers, and chaplains.
• Contribute to education, research, and fellowship programs in palliative care.
• Engage in clinical and educational scholarship with growth toward associate/assistant professor ranks.
