Qualifications

  • Requires medical degree (MD or DO).
  • Completion of an ACGME-accredited Hand Surgery Fellowship.
  • Texas medical licensure or eligibility for licensure in Texas.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises and teaches residents and medical students in classroom and clinical settings.
  • Works with hand surgery colleagues to develop long-term division strategy.
  • Performs hand and microvascular call coverage at local hospitals.
  • Provides patient care in hand and microvascular surgery in inpatient and outpatient settings.
  • Engages in research and scholarly activities.
  • Participates in institutional governance and administrative duties.
  • Maintains board certification or pursues ABOS/ABS academic pathway.
  • Ensures HIPAA and billing compliance.
  • Upholds institutional policies and value-based culture.
