The University of Minnesota Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Neurosciences seeks an ophthalmologist with fellowship training in Medical Retina and Uveitis to join our growing faculty in Minnesota. This 100% appointment offers the opportunity to contribute to a dynamic academic environment with strong clinical programs and robust research infrastructure.

You will participate in clinical care, teaching residents and fellows, and scholarly activities, with collaboration across imaging

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree required.
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited Ophthalmology residency.
• Fellowship training in Medical Retina, Surgical Retina, Uveitis, or a combined program.
• Board-certified or board-eligible in Ophthalmology.
• Eligibility for medical licensure in Minnesota.
• Demonstrated commitment to clinical excellence, education, and scholarly productivity.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care focusing on retina, vitreous, and uvea diseases.
• Staff outpatient clinics, perform intravitreal injections, lasers, and surgeries as appropriate.
• Participate in shared call coverage within the department.
• Teach and mentor residents, medical students, and fellows; participate in didactic activities and curriculum development.
• Engage in scholarly activity aligned with departmental strengths; lead or support clinical trials and translational research.
