The Mayo Clinic in Florida Ophthalmology Department is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible ophthalmologist with preferred fellowship training in a surgical subspecialty to join our expanding team of 14 faculty members. This faculty position emphasizes research, medical student, resident, and fellow teaching within a leading academic medical center.

We offer opportunities for involvement in quality improvement, clinical trials, and CME activities.

Formación

• Board-certified or board-eligible ophthalmologist.
• Fellowship training in a surgical subspecialty preferred.
• Experience in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows.

Responsabilidades

• Provide inpatient ophthalmology consultations for a wide range of conditions.
• Manage acute ophthalmic presentations in the ED in collaboration with Emergency Medicine.
• Perform minor bedside or clinic-based ophthalmic procedures as indicated.
• Participate in departmental call and ocular emergencies management.
• Engage in quality improvement, clinical research, and CME activities.
• Collaborate with subspecialists to coordinate patient care.
• Contribute to residency and fellowship education as established ( residency starting 2028; retina fellowship targeted 2029 ).
