Job summary

The University of Kansas Medical Center's Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation seeks an Assistant Professor to lead Oncology Rehabilitation within the NCI-designated cancer center. You will deliver high-quality patient care and participate in interdisciplinary collaboration.

The faculty member will educate medical students, residents and fellows, with opportunities in clinical and basic science research. Academic rank will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Qualifications

• MD/DO or equivalent required to ensure foundational knowledge.
• Board Certified/Board eligible in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
• Fellowship training in Oncology Rehabilitation preferred.
• Resume/CV and Cover Letter required.

Responsibilities

• Manage rehabilitation needs for patients with cancer and grow the Oncology Rehabilitation program.
• Conduct specialty clinics and inpatient consultations in designated locations.
• Collaborate with oncologists, surgeons and others as appropriate.
• Supervise and teach residents, fellows and medical students when assigned.
• Lecture to residents, fellows and students.
• Attend Grand Rounds as scheduled.
• Maintain scholarship commensurate with appropriate academic track.
