Job summary

The SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology in Brooklyn, NY seeks a full-time Assistant Professor (TCL) to provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care across ambulatory, labor and delivery, and the operating room.

The role includes on-call coverage, supervising residents, and back-up calls on a monthly basis, with a variable shift structure and a strong focus on patient safety and education.

Qualifications

• Board Eligible/Board Certified Obstetrician and Gynecologist with a New York State Licensure to practice medicine.

Responsibilities

• Provide services in the Ambulatory Care Service, the Labor and Delivery Suite and in the Operating Room three days a week.
• On-call basis: provide 2-16 hours and 1-24 hours weekend sessions monthly in Labor and Delivery to supervise Residents; provide scheduled back-up calls monthly.
