Job summary
Albany Medical College/Albany Medical Health System invites applications for an academic non-invasive cardiologist at the Assistant, Associate or full Professor level to join our Division of Cardiology. Training in CMR/CT or preventive cardiology is a plus, with opportunities to practice full-scope non-invasive cardiology in a collaborative, academic setting.
The position includes general preventive office-based cardiology, CCU and inpatient consult duties, and teaching medical students,
Qualifications
- MD/DO or equivalent with board certification in cardiovascular diseases
- Ability to teach, mentor, and collaborate with medical students, residents, cardiology fellows, and other healthcare providers
- Training and/or experience in CMR/CCT or Prevention strongly desired
- Active and unrestricted medical license or eligibility for licensure in New York State
Responsibilities
- General/Preventive cardiology office-based practice
- CCU and inpatient consult service duties
- Focus on cardiovascular MRI, CT and/or echocardiography based on training/experience
- Comprehensive academic environment with opportunities for teaching medical students, residents and cardiology fellows
- Opportunities to develop or participate in clinical/translational research
- Collaborative environment with a multidisciplinary team of APPs, nurses and technicians
