Job summary

Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) in Portland, OR, seeks a Neurologist specialized in Neuromuscular Medicine (asst/assoc/full professor) to join the Neurology department. The role combines ambulatory and EMG clinics, with potential inpatient duties and call coverage.

Emphasis on building a funded research program within the Neuromuscular & ALS Center. The position emphasizes teaching medical students, residents and fellows, with a commitment to clinical excellence and collaboration

Qualifications

• Doctorate in medicine, residency training in Neurology, and fellowship training in Neuromuscular Medicine required.
• Current unlimited Oregon MD/DO (or equivalent) license prior to start.
• Board certification or eligibility for board certification in Neurology is required.
• Must be eligible for or licensed through the Oregon Board of Medical Examiners

Responsibilities

• Clinical responsibilities: full-time clinician with ambulatory and EMG clinic sessions; possible inpatient ward coverage and evening/weekend call participation.
• Research responsibilities: encouraged to develop and maintain a funded research program in Neuromuscular/ALS center.
• Academic responsibilities: teach medical students, residents and fellows as deemed appropriate by the Chair of Neurology.
• Engage in departmental activities and committees as required.
