Job summary

The University of Maryland Faculty Physicians seeks a full-time faculty neurologist to join the Department of Neurology based at UM Capital Region Health in Largo, Maryland. Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in Medicine in area of specialty.
• 3–5 years of clinical experience.
• CPR required.
• BLS required.
• ACLS and/or other relevant certification as required by the department.
• Board certification/eligibility in area of specialty.
• Demonstrated professionalism through involvement in professional organizations, teaching, research, and/or publishing.
• Ability to provide care appropriate to patient population and age groups.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive outpatient neurological evaluation and treatment.
• Perform patient examinations and develop diagnoses and treatment plans.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests and procedures.
• Coordinate care with other healthcare professionals.
• Provide ongoing management of patients with neurological conditions.
• Participate in departmental, educational, and academic activities.

Education

Doctoral degree in Medicine

3-5 years of clinical experience

CPR

BLS

ACLS and/or other relevant certification

Board certification/eligibility in area of specialty

Professionalism, teaching, research, and publishing

Growth and development knowledge across lifespan

Excellent communication skills
