The University of Maryland Faculty Physicians, Inc. is seeking a full-time faculty neurologist to join the Department of Neurology.

This position will be based at UM Capital Region Health in Largo, Maryland, and will primarily focus on providing high-quality outpatient neurological care to patients in the surrounding community. Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in Medicine in the area of specialty.
• 3-5 years of clinical experience.
• CPR required; BLS required.
• ACLS and/or other relevant certification as required by the department.
• Board certification/eligibility in area of specialty.
• Professional involvement, teaching, research, and/or publishing is encouraged.
• Knowledge of growth and development across the life span and ability to assess data for age-specific needs.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive outpatient neurological evaluation and treatment.
• Perform patient examinations and develop diagnoses and treatment plans.
• Order and interpret appropriate diagnostic tests and procedures.
• Coordinate care with other healthcare professionals.
• Provide ongoing management of patients with neurological conditions.
• Participate in departmental, educational, and academic activities.

Education

Doctoral degree in Medicine in the area of specialty

3-5 years of clinical experience
