The University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) seeks full-time academic nephrology faculty to practice within the Division of Nephrology. These faculty opportunities emphasize high-quality clinical care, active participation in teaching, and engagement in UTMB's academic mission. Successful candidates will join the John Sealy School of Medicine and a team dedicated to outstanding nephrology care, clinical education, scholarly activity, and continued program growth.

Opportunity Highlights

Join a growing academic division with 15 faculty, 7 APPs and 5 fellows, dedicated to excellence in patient care, education, and research.

Practice across UTMB's four campuses: Galveston, League City, Clear Lake, and Angleton Danbury.

Provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient nephrology care, including management of chronic kidney disease, dialysis, kidney transplantation, and related kidney conditions.

Teach and supervise medical students, residents, and fellows in both clinical and didactic settings.

Participate in UTMB's Nephrology Fellowship Program and Interventional Nephrology Fellowship Program, supporting the development of future leaders in kidney care.

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in internal medicine, critical care, surgery, and other specialties to optimize patient outcomes and care coordination.

Engage in quality improvement, patient safety, evidence-based practice initiatives, curriculum development, clinical training, and academic programming.

Contribute to translational and clinical research efforts focused on improving outcomes for patients with chronic kidney disease and transplant recipients.

Develop an academic niche within a collaborative division that supports innovation, mentorship, and scholarly activity.
