Albany Medical College seeks an Academic Nephrologist (Assistant/Associate Professor) to join the Division of Nephrology and Hypertension. The role encompasses inpatient consults, teaching, renal transplant collaboration, and outpatient CKD care in a collaborative, academically oriented environment.

Eligible candidates will hold MD/DO with board certification or eligibility, demonstrate nephrology expertise, and commit to medical education and mentorship.

Qualifications

• MD/DO degree required with board certification or eligibility in Nephrology
• Strong commitment to medical education and mentorship
• Interest or experience in clinical research is highly desirable
• Eligibility for faculty appointment at Assistant or Associate Professor level
• Eligibility for New York State medical licensure

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient consult and teaching services
• Participation in renal transplant services
• Outpatient hemodialysis patient care
• Hypertension referral clinic
• Comprehensive CKD outpatient program
• Teach medical students, residents, and fellows
• Develop or participate in clinical and/or translational research
• Collaborative, multidisciplinary care with APPs, nurses, and staff
