Job summary

Brown Medicine seeks a Board Certified/Board Eligible General Nephrologist to join our academic nephrology team in Providence, RI. The position is on the Clinician Educator Track at Brown University, combining clinical practice, teaching, mentorship, and scholarly activity within a nationally recognized academic environment.

Inpatient duties are shared across multiple hospital nephrology services; outpatient duties include dialysis, glomerulonephritis care, and approximately 2–4 outpatient

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree and nephrology fellowship completed.
• Board certified or board eligible in nephrology.
• Eligible for Rhode Island medical licensure.

Responsibilities

• Inpatient responsibilities shared among faculty at Rhode Island Hospital, Miriam Hospital, VA Medical Center, and Kent Hospital.
• Outpatient responsibilities include 2–4 sessions weekly, home hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, glomerulonephritis and other nephrology services, plus 1–3 outpatient dialysis shifts.
• Overnight call coverage shared among faculty with ~8 weekend calls per year for balance between clinical duties and personal time.
