The University of Texas at Austin Dell Medical School is recruiting a full-time academic Movement Disorders Neurologist to build a comprehensive program and lead a growing movement disorders service in Austin. Board-certified or eligible in neurology with a fellowship in movement disorders is required, with a focus on education, patient care, and scholarly activity.

Competenze

• Board certification by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (or eligible within 2 years).
• Fellowship in movement disorders.
• Unrestricted Texas medical license (or ability to obtain before appointment).
• Ability to work in a collaborative, multidisciplinary academic environment.
• Strong clinical teaching skills.
• Innovative self-starter with commitment to excellence.
• Excellent communication, problem solving, and organizational skills.
• Eligibility for appointment at Assistant/Associate/Professor rank.

Mansioni

• Serve as a clinical content expert on adult movement disorders.
• Develop a comprehensive movement disorders program and a new diagnostic neurology clinic.
• Develop partnerships with referring physicians, hospitals, and providers in Austin and Central Texas.
• Assist in creating data and evaluation infrastructure for regular assessment of clinical quality and cost outcomes.
• Participate in education curricula related to evaluation and management of neurology with a focus on movement disorders.
• Train and mentor medical students and residents.
• Foster an atmosphere of scientific and academic inquiry with trainees and researchers.
• Collaborate with other UT Austin schools on value-based care models.
• Actively participate in departmental policies.
