Qualifications

• Current ABPN board certification or eligibility within two years of residency.
• Fellowship training with a concentration in neuromuscular medicine.
• Unrestricted license to practice medicine in Texas (or ability to obtain before appointment).
• Ability to work in a collaborative, multidisciplinary academic environment.
• Excellent clinical teaching skills.
• Strong communication, problem solving, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a clinical content expert on adult neuromuscular disorders for Dell Medical School.
• Participate in strategic planning for development of a comprehensive neuromuscular program.
• Develop partnerships with referring physicians, hospitals, and ancillary providers in Austin and Central Texas.
• Assist in creating a data and evaluation infrastructure for clinical quality and outcomes.
• Contribute to Undergraduate and Graduate Medical Education curricula on neuromuscular care.
• Mentor medical students and residents on new models of care and practice.
• Foster scientific inquiry within the multidisciplinary team and collaborate with UT Austin schools.
• Participate in multidisciplinary, value-based care model development.
