Job summary

The University of Kentucky College of Medicine, Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Medical Oncology and the Markey Cancer Center are seeking to recruit an outstanding academic physician with expertise in GI, GU, Lung and/or Breast Medical Oncology and the ability to contribute to the growth and development of a comprehensive and interdisciplinary program.

This faculty member will be engaged in clinical research that will advance the care of patients in medical oncology, move the field

Qualifications

• MD, DO, or equivalent.
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited hematology training program.
• Board certification in Internal Medicine.
• Board certification in Medical Oncology.
• Eligible for medical licensure in Kentucky.
• Meet university criteria for appointment as Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor.
• Candidates who completed their fellowship recently enough that they are not yet eligible to sit for the exam will be considered, with the expectation that they take the certification exams at the earliest opportunity.

Responsibilities

• Engage in clinical research to advance the care of patients in medical oncology.
• Collaborate with laboratory investigators and participate in investigator-initiated clinical trials.
