Job summary

Loyola University Medical Center’s Division of Hematology and Oncology seeks a fellowship-trained, Board Certified/Board Eligible Medical Oncologist at the Assistant or Associate Professor level to join its GI Medical Oncology Program.

The role emphasizes inpatient/outpatient oncology care, participation in multidisciplinary GI oncology clinics, and a focus on clinical and translational research. Teaching fellows, residents, and students is expected.

Qualifications

  • MD or DO degree.
  • Fellowship training in Hematology and Oncology.
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Medical Oncology.
  • Clinical expertise in gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary malignancies.
  • Demonstrated interest in clinical and/or translational research.

Responsibilities

  • Provide inpatient and outpatient oncology care at Loyola University Medical Center.
  • Participate in weekly multidisciplinary GI oncology clinics with surgical, radiation, pathology and radiology colleagues.
  • Develop and conduct clinical and/or translational research in GI and hepatobiliary cancers.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to advance patient care, research and program growth.
  • Teach and mentor hematology/oncology fellows, residents and medical students.
