EF is seeking an Academic Manager-Summer 2027 to oversee the academic operations of the campus in Pasadena. You will support teaching staff and ensure a high level of student satisfaction throughout the program.

Your role includes setting up classrooms, coordinating schedules, assigning teachers and rooms, and managing academic resources. You will lead the academic team under the Regional Operations Manager, deliver briefings, and contribute to graduations while ensuring safety and quality

Qualifikationen

• University degree or equivalent, preferred.
• TEFL certificate or equivalent, preferred.
• Minimum six months of teaching experience or one summer teaching for EF.
• Have the right to live and work in the country of employment.
• Complete fluency in English.
• Attend an in-person training session before your contract commences.

• Leading and integrating the academic team with senior staff, delivering briefings and meetings.
• Teacher observations, feedback, and development; planning graduations with the activities team.
• Training and managing the academic team under Regional Operations Manager.
• Inputting data into EF’s production system and maintaining welfare and discipline.

Compensation:

$ 1,400 per week

(housing provided and required for the role)

About The Role

In this role, you will assume overall responsibility for the Academic aspects of the campus, support the teaching staff, and ensure a high level of customer service and student satisfaction.

Your key tasks will consist of, but not be limited to:

• Setting up the school and physically ensuring all classrooms meet EF specifications and are maintained throughout the season.
• Coordinating timetables for all academic groups, completing intake schedules, and setting up classes using EF’s production system.
• Allocating teachers and classrooms to groups of students and playing a ‘hands-on’ role in allocating students into classes on the first days of school.
• Managing academic stock, including exam papers, certificates, teaching supplies, and equipment.
• Managing all teaching staff at your campus and working with other Senior Staff to ensure full integration of teaching staff into the team.
• Delivering initial teacher briefings, daily and weekly meetings.
• Teacher observations, feedback, and development.
• Planning and implementation of graduations together with activities team.
• Responsible for the training and management of the academic team, including special programs, under the direction of the Regional Operations Manager.
• Collating/reviewing academic paperwork, and inputting data into EF’s production system.
• Welfare and discipline within the classroom.
• Responding to problems and emergency situations should they arise.

Requirements

• University degree or equivalent, preferred.
• TEFL certificate or equivalent, preferred.
• Minimum six months of teaching experience or one summer teaching for EF.
• Have the right to live and work in the country of employment.
• Complete fluency in English.

Preferred Qualifications

• Management and administrative experience.
• Enthusiastic, organized, and a natural leader.
• Capable of using your own initiative.
• University degree in TESOL or similar field.
