Job summary

Trident Tech is seeking a Department Head for Network Systems Management and Cybersecurity to provide academic leadership within the Business Technology Division. Responsibilities include teaching, curriculum development, and supervising faculty to support student success and workforce readiness.

The role requires a master's degree or equivalent credentials with three years of related experience. Collaboration with industry partners and ongoing program assessment will be essential to maintain

Qualifications

• Master's degree or credentials that meet SACSCOC guidelines for teaching in Network Systems Management, Cybersecurity, and/or Information Systems programs.
• Three (3) years of progressively responsible related work experience.
• Candidates with a bachelor's degree will be considered but must complete a master's degree in the discipline within three (3) years of hire.
• Technical certifications such as Security+, Network+, A+, Linux+, Red Hat, Cisco CCNA, Cisco CyberOps, AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, Microsoft certifications, or related industry credentials.
• Experience teaching in higher education, technical education, workforce training, or related instructional environments.
• Experience in Network Systems Management, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, cloud technologies, systems administration, or related information technology fields.
• Experience supervising faculty, staff, or technical teams.
• Experience with curriculum development, program assessment, accreditation, and continuous improvement activities.
• Active participation in professional organizations, workforce development initiatives, advisory committees, or industry partnerships.
• Proficiency with instructional and administrative technologies, including Ellucian Colleague, D2L, Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
• Excellent communication, organizational, customer service, and leadership skills.
• Demonstrated ability to build relationships and communicate effectively with diverse students, faculty, staff, industry partners, and community stakeholders.
• Commitment to staying current with emerging technologies, cybersecurity trends, and best practices in higher education and information technology.

Responsibilities

• Teach courses in Network Systems Management, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, and related disciplines using traditional, hybrid, online, and other instructional delivery methods.
• Create and maintain an engaging learning environment that promotes student success and achievement.
• Provide leadership for academic programs by evaluating, revising, and developing curriculum, courses, and instructional materials.
• Promote teaching and learning excellence through assessment of student success data, course evaluations, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Supervise and evaluate faculty and other assigned personnel, including recruitment, onboarding, mentoring, and performance management.
• Advise and mentor students regarding academic planning, career pathways, transfer opportunities, and employment options.
• Ensure timely completion of departmental reports, accreditation requirements, assessment activities, scheduling processes, and other administrative functions.
• Build and maintain relationships with employers, advisory committees, industry partners, professional organizations, and community stakeholders.
• Participate in college committees, institutional initiatives, community outreach activities, and professional development opportunities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
