Job summary

The University of South Alabama Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the Frederick P. Whiddon College of Medicine seeks an academic joint replacement surgeon at the rank of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor to join our rapidly growing clinical practice.

The candidate will teach, practice clinically, and conduct innovative research in joint disorders, including arthroplasty and minimally invasive techniques.

Qualifications

• MD or DO medical degree.
• Residency in Orthopaedic Surgery (ACGME-accredited).
• Fellowship in Joint Surgery or related subspecialty preferred; board certified or board eligible.

Responsibilities

• Teach, supervise, and mentor medical students and residents.
• Provide clinical care including hip and knee arthroplasty.
• Engage in innovative research and publish findings.
• Contribute to curriculum development and participate in multidisciplinary teams.
• Lead or participate in departmental meetings and committees.
