Qualifications

• MD degree or equivalent and board certified/eligible in ABIM Cardiovascular Diseases with subspecialty certification in Interventional Cardiology.
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited interventional cardiology fellowship.
• Must possess or be eligible for full medical license in the State of Texas.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient care for patients with cardiovascular disease, with a focus on coronary, endovascular, and structural interventions.
• Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures, including PCI, intravascular imaging, physiologic assessment, and structural interventions as credentialed.
• Participate in the interventional cardiology on-call rotation, including STEMI activations, emergent procedures, and complex coronary interventions.
• Bring added expertise in vascular medicine and peripheral interventions, advanced heart failure, and the use of mechanical circulatory support devices; experience with PERT is valued.
• Oversee pre- and post-procedure care, including risk assessment, patient counseling, and longitudinal follow-up in clinic.
• Collaborate with cardiac surgery, advanced heart failure, electrophysiology, vascular medicine, and critical care teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Provide same-day access when clinically indicated and ensure timely responsiveness to referring provider inquiries.
• Participate in outreach activities and clinics to expand access to advanced cardiovascular care.
