Job summary

UTMB Health seeks an experienced cardiologist to deliver inpatient and outpatient cardiovascular care across campus clinics. The role includes teaching fellows, residents, and medical students, with involvement in didactic sessions and clinical curriculum development.

You will contribute to clinical outcomes research, participate in quality initiatives, and help develop departmental protocols. Salary is commensurate with experience and credentials; on-site position in Texas.

Qualifications

MD degree required.
Completion of an ACGME-accredited fellowship in Cardiovascular Medicine.
Board certification or eligibility in ABIM Cardiovascular Diseases.
Must hold or be eligible for a full Texas medical license.

Responsibilities

Provide inpatient general cardiology services including consultations and management of hospitalized patients.
Interpret and perform transthoracic echocardiograms and stress echocardiography as credentialed.
Provide outpatient care for a wide range of cardiovascular diseases with emphasis on prevention and follow-up.
Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care with timely responsiveness to referring providers.
Collaborate with subspecialists to ensure comprehensive cardiovascular care.
Participate in outreach activities and satellite clinics to expand access across UTMB campuses.
