Job summary

MUSC Health Florence is seeking a full-time BC/BE Internal Medicine physician who is interested in serving as core faculty. This is an opportunity to join a well-established primary care network, while growing and shaping the Internal Medicine Residency Program at MUSC Health – Florence Medical Center.

Primary Care is essential to MUSC Health’s mission of providing exceptional and accessible treatment to patients in South Carolina.

Qualifications

• BC/BE in Internal Medicine required.
• Unrestricted SC licensure and federal/state registration for practice.

Responsibilities

• 100% outpatient, Monday-Friday 8am-5pm.
• Dedicated onsite support staff.
• Minimal shared call.
• Split time between educational, administrative, and clinical care.
• Serve as a role model, mentor, and advisor to residents.
• Participate in the selection, orientation, and evaluation of residents.
• Support the Program Director and Associate Program Director in policy implementation.
• Participate in resident scholarship with at least one project per year.
