Job summary

Boston Medical Center's Section of Hematology and Medical Oncology seeks an outstanding clinician to serve as a hospitalist on the inpatient hematology/oncology teaching service. The successful candidate will be board certified/eligible in internal medicine and will rotate on the service for 36 weeks per year, supervising a 10- or 16-patient team.

The hospitalist acts as attending Monday through Friday, with weekend duties shared among faculty.

Qualifications

• MD, DO, or MD/PhD required.
• ABIM board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine.
• Licensed to practice in Massachusetts (or eligible).
• Current BLS certification.
• Ability to provide acute care to hospitalized oncology patients.
• Strong teaching and mentoring skills.
• Authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Serve as hospitalist on inpatient hematology/oncology teaching service.
• Supervise a 10- or 16-patient team on a rotating schedule.
• Attend on the service Monday–Friday; weekend duties shared with faculty.
• Mentor medical students, interns and residents.
• Contribute to research initiatives and academic projects.
