Job summary

Intermountain Health in Murray, Utah seeks an Academic Infectious Diseases physician to join a collaborative team providing inpatient and outpatient care at two major centers. The role includes leading research and quality improvement, obtaining an academic appointment, and teaching fellows and residents.

The position emphasizes scholarly activity, publishing, and securing funding, with a flexible schedule and teaching across multiple learner groups.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Residency in Internal Medicine.
• Fellowship in Infectious Disease.
• Board certification or eligibility in Infectious Disease.
• Experience and scholarly interest in infectious diseases.
• Excellent communication and teaching ability.
• Utah medical license or ability to obtain one.
• Ability to complete Intermountain Health credentialing.
• No visa sponsorship required.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient and outpatient infectious diseases care at LDS Hospital and Intermountain Medical Center (0.70 FTE).
• Lead research and quality improvement projects in infectious diseases and microbiology (0.30 FTE).
• Obtain an academic appointment in the Clinical Investigator Track; publish research and seek funding.
• Teach Infectious Diseases fellows, residents, and medical students during inpatient consultations.
• Join an expanding, collaborative group.
• Maintain a flexible schedule.
