Qualifications

• 3–5 years of post-fellowship experience
• PhD, MD or MD/PhD with ABMLI/DMLI or ABP/ABCC immunology focus
• Eligibility for South Carolina medical licensure
• Additional training in clinical chemistry or related clinical pathology fields preferred
• Active oversight of laboratory testing quality

Responsibilities

• Lead development, validation and verification of new laboratory immunology assays
• Oversee interpretation of routine immunology testing (SPEP, UPEP, IFE)
• Collaborate with quality and technical staff to monitor service performance
• Foster relationships with clinicians and researchers to optimize test utilization
• Participate in clinical and translational research endeavors
• Contribute to teaching of medical students and pathology residents/fellows
• Engage in ComACC-accredited clinical chemistry fellowship activities
• Support department-wide academic mission
