Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota is seeking an academically oriented Hospitalist with a passion for teaching and research. The role emphasizes education within a leading patient care environment and offers opportunities to work with residents, fellows, and medical students.

The position supports a 7 on/7 off schedule and a collaborative NP/PA model, with strong emphasis on scholarly activity and clinical excellence in internal medicine. Relocation assistance is available.

Qualifications

• A qualified candidate must have M.D., D.O. or foreign degree equivalent, must have or be eligible for Minnesota medical license, and must be Board Certified in Internal Medicine.

Responsibilities

• 7 on / 7 off schedule (Monday - Sunday).
• 15-17 patients shared between physician and NP/PA.
• Shared evenings/night coverage among a large physician group.
• Ample opportunities for teaching residents, fellows, medical students and NPPA students.
• Closed ICU - hospitalist can work in a telemetry progressive care unit.
• Practice opportunities in geriatrics, procedures, oncology/hematology, telemetry, patient flow; depending on interests and experience.
