Job summary

St. Vincent’s Medical Center in Bridgeport, CT, seeks a Board Eligible/Board Certified Internal Medicine Hospitalist to join its 520-bed academic affiliate. The position offers teaching responsibilities, strong subspecialty support, and a balanced schedule as part of Hartford HealthCare.

Active involvement in resident teaching, mentorship, and curriculum development is welcomed, with potential faculty appointment through Quinnipiac University.

Qualifications

• MD or DO with board certification in Internal Medicine and hospitalist experience is preferred.
• Eligible for Connecticut medical licensure and board-eligible/board-certified status.
• Strong involvement in resident teaching and academic engagement.
• Interest in scholarly activity (quality improvement, research, publications).

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient hospitalist care with a focus on patient-centered outcomes.
• Lead and supervise resident teaching and clinical education.
• Participate in quality improvement, curriculum development, and academic activities.
