Job summary

The University of Louisville Department of Medicine, Division of General Internal Medicine and Medical Education, has an opportunity for an academic hospitalist to provide inpatient and outpatient internal medicine services at our academic medical center.

The ideal candidate will be board-certified or board-eligible in Internal Medicine, hold or be eligible for a Kentucky medical license within 90 days, and participate in resident supervision, quality improvement, and departmental meetings as

Qualifications

• Board-certified or board-eligible in Internal Medicine.
• Active Kentucky medical license or eligible to obtain within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient internal medicine coverage on the hospitalist service.
• Participate in hospitalist ward attending duties and some outpatient coverage at the academic medical center.
• Supervise and train medical residents; collaborate with subspecialty providers daily.
• Participate in quality assurance programs and divisional/departmental meetings.
