Job Description

TeamHealth is seeking a full-time academic hospitalist to join our team at Nashville General Hospital in Nashville, TN. This position offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative, intellectually stimulating environment with a strong emphasis on teaching family medicine residents, quality improvement, and scholarly activity.

Opportunity Overview:

1. Faculty appointment at the rank of Associate Professor with Meharry Medical College
2. Clinical responsibilities include inpatient care on family medicine teaching service
3. Ability to implement quality improvements
4. Flexible 7 on/7 off schedule
5. Employed model with health benefits

Qualifications:

1. MD or DO degree
2. Board-certified in family medicine (cannot consider IM or other board certifications as this is a family medicine residency program)
3. Recent hospitalist experience is required (cannot accept new grads for this position)
4. Demonstrated commitment to academic medicine
