Job summary

UC San Diego is recruiting Academic Hospitalists and Nocturnists to join a dynamic Division of Hospital Medicine. The appointees will provide clinical care, teach students and residents, and contribute to quality improvement and scholarly activities.

The appointments may involve different series (Assistant/Associate/Full Professor) and may require self-funding in some cases. Salary ranges start at $295,000 and go to $340,000, with annual negotiation.

Qualifications

• Candidates must have an MD, DO, or equivalent degree.
• Candidates must be board certified or board eligible in Internal Medicine.
• Candidates must also have, or be eligible for, a California medical license or equivalent certification/permit as determined by the Medical Board of California.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical care of patients in Hospital Medicine.
• Teach medical students and residents.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and scholarly activities.

Education
