The Department of Pathology at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) seeks an outstanding candidate for a full-time clinical faculty position with expertise in Head and Neck / Endocrine Pathology. The academic appointment will be at the rank of Health Sciences Clinical Instructor, Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor in the Health Sciences Clinical, Clinical X, or In Residence series, depending on the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate. The incumbent is expected to participate in night and weekend surgical pathology call, departmental teaching activities for medical students, house staff, and fellows, and interdepartmental conferences.
Qualified candidates must hold an MD (or MD equivalent), have a license to practice in California or qualifications to obtain one by the time of appointment, and be board certified or eligible in Anatomic Pathology or Anatomic & Clinical Pathology. Preference will be given to applicants with fellowship training in anatomic pathology with diagnostic expertise in Head and Neck Pathology or equivalent clinical experience. Subspecialty training and experience must be included in the CV. Candidates with completed Cytopathology fellowships and eligibility or certification in Cytopathology will be prioritized. Applicants should list (pending) qualifications upon submission. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated interest or success in scholarly activities related to Head and Neck Pathology, Endocrine Pathology, and/or Cytopathology. The candidate should also possess outstanding diagnostic and interpersonal skills and be able to communicate effectively in a multidisciplinary environment.

The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay based on rank and step at the time of appointment. The minimum base salary range for this position is $97,300 - $377,200. This position includes membership in the membership details placeholder, which provides eligibility for additional compensation.
