The role focuses on inpatient care with no outpatient responsibilities and a great work-life balance, supported by a dedicated GI team and mid-level providers.

The selected candidate will participate in inpatient consults, teaching, and clinical care, with a schedule emphasizing weekday coverage and limited weekends.

Qualifications

• MD (or foreign equivalent). Board Certified in Internal Medicine, BC/BE in Gastroenterology.
• Experience in clinical care and teaching.
• Skilled in a variety of endoscopic procedures.

Responsibilities

• Inpatient GI hospitalist at Stony Brook University Hospital with 24 GI consult weeks per year (Mon-Fri).
• Minimal weekend and night coverage; no outpatient responsibilities.
• Inpatient team includes gastroenterology fellows and advanced practice providers.
