Job summary

Cambridge Health Alliance (CHA) seeks a full-time General Surgeon to join our Department of Surgery across CHA Cambridge and CHA Everett Hospitals in the Boston metro north region. This role offers a HMS faculty appointment and an opportunity to teach surgical residents and HMS students within a nationally renowned longitudinal clerkship.

Clinical duties include a broad mix of general, advanced laparoscopic, robotic, cancer, and endoscopic procedures using da Vinci systems, with 24/7 coverage

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school with Board Certification or Board Eligibility in General Surgery.
• Active (or ability to obtain) Massachusetts Medical License and DEA registration.
• Completion of an Advanced MIS and Bariatric Surgery Fellowship preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform a broad mix of general, advanced laparoscopic, robotic, cancer, and endoscopic procedures at CHA Cambridge and CHA Everett Hospitals.
• Teach and train surgical residents and HMS students in the longitudinal clerkship with HMS appointment.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and a large referral network (AC0).
• Supported by surgical residents and PAs, with 24/7 in-house housestaff coverage.
• Participate in NSQIP, NAPBC, ACS CoC, and bariatric/medical weight management programs.
• No trauma call.
