Position overview
Position title: Academic General/Minimally Invasive Surgeon
Salary range: The posted UC salary scales (https://www.ucop.edu/academic-personnel-programs/compensation/index.html) set the minimum pay determined by rank and step at appointment. See Table 5, at Scale 7. In accordance with AB 168 and SB 1162, the initial/base salary range for this position is $163,300 - $455,961. This position includes membership in the health sciences compensation plan which provides for eligibility for additional compensation. Position description

The Department of Surgery, Division of General Surgery at UCLA invites applications for a full-time faculty position at the Assistant or Associate Level in the Health Sciences Clinical Professor series. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated clinical excellence and academic productivity, with expertise in minimally invasive surgical approaches, especially for complex hernias. Practice locations include Santa Monica Hospital. Responsibilities include teaching, supervising trainees, scholarly activity, and providing patient care in inpatient and outpatient settings.

Qualifications include an MD degree or equivalent, board eligibility or certification, and eligibility for California medical licensure. Academic rank and salary depend on experience and qualifications.
