Qualifications

• MD/DO or equivalent and board-eligible/certified in Gastroenterology.
• Completed Internal Medicine residency and Gastroenterology fellowship.
• Eligible to obtain a U.S. medical license and VA appointment.
• Endoscopic skills and interest in clinical research.
• Ability to participate in education and on-call coverage.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive GI services for inpatients, outpatients, and nursing home patients.
• Oversee GI procedures and endoscopic sessions, including various advanced techniques.
• Lead and participate in research, education, and training activities; meet UCSF Fresno appointment requirements.
• Maintain documentation in the electronic medical record (CPRS) and participate in quality assurance.
• Share gastroenterology on-call responsibilities with other staff physicians; serve on committees and task forces.
