Job summary

Albany Medical College is seeking general Gastroenterologists to join the Division of Gastroenterology. The role involves working in a state-of-the-art endoscopy suite with anesthesia support and collaborating with surgeons, radiologists, GI pathologists, and an on-site infusion clinic.

You will perform various endoscopic procedures, teach medical students, residents and fellows, and contribute to research and scholarly activity. Competitive compensation with incentive bonus is offered.

Qualifications

• MD or DO with board certification in Internal Medicine and board eligibility or board certification in Gastroenterology.
• Experience diagnosing and managing a broad range of GI conditions.
• Active, unrestricted NY medical license or eligibility for licensure.
• Strong dedication to high-quality, patient-centered care across diverse populations.

Responsibilities

• Work in an endoscopy suite with advanced diagnostics and anesthesia support.
• Collaborate with colorectal, oncologic, trauma surgeons, interventional radiologists, and GI pathologists.
• Perform endoscopic procedures as part of patient care.
• Teach medical students, residents, and fellows.
• Conduct research and scholarly work.
