Job description

Overview

Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist and Wake Forest University School of Medicine’s Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and Rehabilitation is seeking a full-time faculty partner joining an established trauma and arthroplasty team primarily in High Point.

  • Location: Patient care in a busy trauma and arthroplasty practice in High Point, North Carolina with potential additional locations to be mutually determined.
  • Clinical Focus: The ideal candidate is able to treat conditions related to orthopaedic trauma and arthroplasty.
  • Collaboration: 4 trauma faculty and 6 arthroplasty faculty partners in Department with over 90 total faculty in Department.
  • Teaching Opportunities: Orthopaedic resident and fellow (trauma and arthroplasty) teaching, clinical and laboratory research opportunities required.
  • Call Expectations: Call expectations in alignment with other orthopaedic surgeons not to exceed 4-6 nights per month general orthopaedic call at a level three trauma center.
  • Support: APP and clinical support provided.

Our subspecialty Orthopaedic surgeons provide compassionate, high-quality medical care to patients. Interdepartmental consultation across 10 subspecialties and a strong commitment to research and teaching keep the department at the forefront of new developments in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with orthopedic and rehabilitation problems.

Qualifications:

  • Certification: Candidates should be board certified or board eligible in Orthopaedic Surgery with fellowship training in trauma and arthroplasty or single fellowship candidates with a high level of comfort in both trauma and arthroplasty.
  • License: Eligible for NC Medical License.
