Academic Faculty Physician - Pediatric Musculoskeletal Physician

Winston-Salem, NC, United States

Position Overview:

Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Brenner Children’s Hospital and the Wake Forest University School of Medicine is seeking a Pediatric Musculoskeletal Physician to join our academic faculty in Winston Salem, North Carolina.

  • Location: Winston -Salem, North Carolina.
  • Clinical Focus: Candidate can treat non-operative conditions related to comprehensive pediatric orthopaedic care from birth to early adulthood. Expertise in treating conditions related to the broad spectrum of congenital, developmental, and traumatic disorders.
  • Teaching Opportunities: Musculoskeletal teaching, clinical, and laboratory research opportunities expected to advance the pediatric orthopaedic section.
  • Call Expectations: Call duties include general orthopedic call 4-6 days per month.
  • Support: APP and clinical support is provided.

Current Pediatric Orthopaedic Section & Team includes:

  • 4 pediatric orthopaedic surgeons with active POSNA membership.
  • 1 non-operative pediatric orthopedist.
  • 1 pediatric physical medicine and rehabilitation physician.
  • 3 pediatric orthopaedic APPs.
  • 1 pediatric athletic trainer.
  • 1 physical therapy assistant.

Current Department includes 90 Faculty, 25 orthopaedic residents, 9 podiatric residents, 8 fellowships with three research labs, including a pediatric gait lab.

Qualifications:

  • Certification: Candidates should be board certified in pediatrics with fellowship training in pediatric musculoskeletal medicine with active involvement in Pediatric Orthopaedic Society of North America or International Pediatric Orthopaedic Symposium.
  • License: Eligible for NC Medical License.
