Job Description

AHWFB Department of Medicine, Section on Hospital Medicine is seeking an Academic Nocturnist with training in Internal Medicine to join our inpatient team at Baptist Medical Center in Winston Salem, North Carolina, and Davie Medical Center in Bermuda Run, North Carolina.

• Schedule Rotation: Swing (2pm-12am), Academic Nocturnist 1 & 2 (9pm-7am), Davie Nocturnist (9pm-7am)

Work Environment:

As a Hospitalist within Wake Forest Baptist Health, you'll collaborate with a dedicated team to ensure safe patient care, admit patients, monitor progress, and communicate effectively with patients, families, and primary care teams.

Position Details:

• Full-time, non-tenure faculty
• Night shifts at NC Baptist Medical Center (75%) and Davie Medical Center (25%)
• Admitting, perioperative management, supervision of residents, no ward cross-cover, no ICU
• Respond to emergencies, coordinate transfers, and communicate with nursing staff
• Use EPIC electronic records

Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited medical school and ACGME Internal Medicine residency
• Board Eligible or Certified in Internal Medicine
• Active NC Medical License
• ACLS Certification
