USA Health at the University of South Alabama seeks an academic epileptologist at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor to join the Comprehensive Epilepsy Program.

The role includes providing patient care, contributing to clinical research, and educating the next generation of neurologists in a supportive, collegial environment with a productive, competitive base salary.

Qualifications

• MD, DO, or equivalent medical degree.
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited residency in Neurology and fellowship training in Epilepsy or Clinical Neurophysiology.
• Board certification or board eligibility in Neurology by ABPN is required (for US-trained applicants).
• Board certification or board eligibility in Epilepsy or Clinical Neurophysiology is preferred.
• Eligibility for an unrestricted medical license in Alabama.

Responsibilities

• Provide coverage for the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU), EEG laboratory, and outpatient epilepsy clinic.
• Teach and mentor neurology residents and medical students.
• Participate in clinical research and scholarly activities.
