Job summary

VA Eastern Colorado Health Care System is recruiting a board-certified/board-eligible Endocrinologist to join an academic team within the Eastern Colorado Health Care System. This position emphasizes inpatient and outpatient care, teaching responsibilities, and participation in education programs coordinated with the University of Colorado Denver School of Medicine.

Qualifications

• US citizenship; VA policy governs non-citizen appointments
• MD degree from a school approved by VA
• Current full and unrestricted medical license in the US
• Residency training leading to board eligibility in core specialty
• Board eligible/board certified in Endocrinology

Responsibilities

• Develop inpatient and outpatient endocrine programs
• Provide patient care within VA Eastern Colorado Health Care System
• Supervise and teach medical students, interns, residents and fellows
• Participate in educational activities with University of Colorado Denver School of Medicine
• Coordinate medical management with primary care and other services
• Provide on-call coverage as assigned
• Participate in quality assurance and program improvement
• Work schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 am–4:30 pm
