Job summary

Albany Medical College in Albany, NY, is recruiting an Academic Endocrinologist at the Assistant/Associate Professor level. The role combines clinical care with education of students, residents and fellows.

You will participate in multidisciplinary conferences, manage a broad spectrum of endocrinopathies, and collaborate with a strong diabetes education team. Teaching occurs across learners in a collegial, multidisciplinary setting.

Qualifications

• MD/DO or equivalent with board certification/eligibility in Endocrinology.
• Strong commitment to education and teaching.
• Must be prepared to work in a team-oriented, multidisciplinary environment.

Responsibilities

• Participate in bimonthly multidisciplinary conferences (thyroid, pituitary, pathology).
• Exposure to a wide variety of endocrinopathies as part of a tertiary referral center.
• Collaborate with a strong diabetes education team, including CDCES.
• Utilize an ultrasonography suite for thyroid ultrasounds and FNAs.
• Emphasize a collegial environment with multidisciplinary approaches to patient care and research.
• Teach medical students, residents, and fellows.
• Opportunity to work in specific areas of endocrinology (e.g., thyroid, pituitary, diabetes, transgender medicine) if interested.
