Job summary

University of Virginia's Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation invites applications for a tenure-ineligible Assistant Professor focused on outpatient electrodiagnostic services. The candidate will perform electromyography and nerve conduction studies and participate in rotating night and weekend coverage at the UVA Encompass Health JV Rehabilitation Hospital.

Applicants must hold an MD or DO and be board-certified or board-eligible by ABPMR, with a commitment to academic medicine

Qualifications

• MD or DO with board certification or eligibility by ABPMR.
• Commitment to academic medicine and interest in combining clinical practice with resident education and/or research.
• Proficiency in performing electromyography and nerve conduction studies (outpatient electrodiagnostics).

Responsibilities

• Perform outpatient electromyography and nerve conduction studies.
• Provide night and weekend coverage on a rotational basis at the UVA Encompass Health JV Rehabilitation Hospital.
• Contribute to resident education and/or educational/research activities within an academic medicine setting.
