Job summary

Albany Medical College, within the Albany Med Health System, is recruiting a Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrician to join the Division of Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics at the Bernard & Millie Duker Children’s Hospital. The role involves diagnostic and medical management of patients up to 21, with collaboration across pediatrics, psychiatry, neurology and genetics.

Successful candidates should be board certified or eligible in Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics and demonstrate

Qualifications

• Board certification or board eligibility in Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics.
• Interest in developing innovative programming within DB practice.
• Experience or interest in teaching house staff and medical students.
• Strong dedication to providing high-quality, patient centered care across diverse populations.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic assessments and medical management for patients up to 21 years old with developmental concerns (e.g., autism, ADHD, learning disorders).
• Collaborate with psychiatry, general pediatrics, neurology and genetics to coordinate care.
• Contribute to program development, including new clinics and screening initiatives.
• Educate and mentor house staff and medical students to promote excellence in DB pediatrics.
