McGraw-Hill Education, a leading provider of digital and print educational materials, is seeking an Academic Designer for our math programs (PreK-5). We are excited about the future of Math at MHE and are looking for passionate individuals to join our team as we develop our next-generation programs. Academic Designers are content and curriculum experts responsible for assembling high-quality content based on specific product requirements and understanding solution design. They collaborate with Academic Designer Managers and team members to develop curriculum and instructional solution designs, both conceptually and practically.

Position Details

This is a remote position open to applicants authorized to work for any employer within the United States. It is a Project Status Worker (PSW) role with an end date of 09/30/2027.

Responsibilities
  1. Plan and develop culturally responsive, relevant, and sustaining content, including learning objectives, activities, and instructional supports for print, digital, and media projects.
  2. Demonstrate a strong understanding of elementary (PreK-5) pedagogy and content.
  3. Produce accurate, high-quality products that meet curriculum standards and market requirements, with appropriate content, reading level, grammar, and style.
  4. Conduct quality assurance testing of digital assets across various authoring tools and platforms.
  5. Communicate project progress and collaborate with team members to address issues.
  6. Work closely with grade level leads and managers to develop high-quality digital and print content aligned with product requirements and instructional design.
Qualifications
  • 5-7 years of elementary product development experience; degree in elementary education.
  • At least 5 years of elementary classroom teaching experience.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to edit digital and print materials efficiently.
  • Strong communication skills for team collaboration and problem-solving.
  • Ability to create, visualize, and layout content for various formats and classroom settings.
  • Knowledge of McGraw Hill’s Online Learning development processes and platforms, specifically OLP and Bento, is preferred.

The salary range for this position is $54,600 - $67,000 annually, with actual compensation depending on experience, skills, and location. Benefits vary by role and may include medical and other perks. Learn more about our benefits here.
