Job summary

Southeast Louisiana Veterans Health Care System in New Orleans seeks a full-time Academic Dermatologist to deliver high-quality dermatologic care, including medical and surgical dermatology, while supervising residents from affiliated institutions.

The role emphasizes teaching, research, and collaboration with VA and university partners; a robust teledermatology program is in place to serve veterans across facilities.

Qualifications

• Must hold an MD or DO with full US medical license.
• Board eligibility/certification in Dermatology required.
• Experience with teaching and supervising residents is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive dermatologic care in outpatient and inpatient settings.
• Supervise dermatology residents and fellows during clinical rotations.
• Collaborate with other subspecialties for complex cases.
• Use teledermatology to extend access to veterans in rural facilities.
• Engage in teaching, research, and quality improvement activities.
