Job summary

The University of Wisconsin–Madison School of Pharmacy (SoP) IIT department seeks an experienced Information Security Analyst III to provide cybersecurity support for faculty, staff, and end users, focusing on risk management, compliance, and data protection.

As the primary contact for SoP cybersecurity, you will evaluate risks, recommend controls, and assist in auditing solutions to reduce exposures while supporting the school's teaching and research mission.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to identify risks in business processes, IT, and projects.
• Working knowledge of cybersecurity industry standards (HIPAA, NIST, ISO, CIS).
• Experience using security tools to conduct security assessments and monitor IT environments.
• Experience collaborating with diverse teams and delivering outstanding customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provides secondary support for endpoint management
• Provides secondary support for web application development and testing
• Conducts, reports, and recommends remediation on security risk assessments and testing
• Provides consultation on the implementation of cyberdefense services and tools
• Conducts investigations of emerging threats and incorporates improvements into risk assessments
• Conducts research to reduce risk for emerging technologies
• Assists with investigations for major and high-risk security breaches
• Implements technical and policy changes to improve security and reduce risk
